It is with great pleasure that the Public and Private Workers of Canada (PPWC), Local 8 and the Chief Engineers, Power Engineers and Supervising Power Engineers of Comox Valley/Campbell River Hospitals, announce a new 3-year deal with C & W Facility Services Canada Inc. This is the first contract that has been negotiated with this group. It was a long and arduous undertaking as the entire bargain was done via zoom due to the pandemic and also their bargaining agent is from the United States. Highlights of the contract are a two percent (2%) per year wage increase and the development of a new pension program for C&W workers. PPWC Local 8 is pleased to welcome this group into the Local and look forward to working together in the future.
