The Public and Private Workers of Canada (PPWC) wants to congratulate Local 8 on its new agreement.
It is with great pleasure that PPWC Local 8 and the Chief Engineers, Power Engineers and Supervising Power Engineers of Comox Valley/Campbell River Hospitals, announce a new 3-year deal with Modern Niagara.
This is the first contract that has been negotiated with this group and it was a process as Modern Niagara took over from C&W Services in May 2024. The members had been without a Collective Agreement since October 1, 2023.
Highlights of this deal include increased wages, an increased Health and Welfare program, increases to sick time and retirement benefits. PPWC Local 8 is pleased to work with this new management group and look forward to a bright future.
