April was a busy month for PPWC Local 15. We had a week of bargaining with the Company and hosted the 2026 PPWC National Convention. Convention was eventful and enjoyed by all those who visited Kimberley from across BC. The Convention also brought National Elections in May for President, 1st Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer.

Watch the boards for posters and bios, since voting dates for our Local will be posted on boards. Online voting will be provided by Simply Voting. If you are unsure if you have already provided your email address to the union for voting, please contact Local 15 Trustees Wilf Davus or Jeremy Christensen.

Also, congratulations to Local 15 member Jeremy Christensen on be acclimated to the position of National 2nd Vice President!

Our bargaining continues to move closer to the finish line, although we did not get to a tentative agreement in April. Our next meeting dates are the week of May 18 and we will hopefully get a tentative agreement to present to the membership.

We did meet again with the Company about payroll issues, and grievances have been submitted by members for the pay statements and r-day deferral. Please continue to submit grievances for pay concerns that have not been resolved by the Company through the issue log. The Union has asked for an audit of the UKG entries to make sure entries for entitlements have been entered properly since the program was brought forward in April last year.

The Company and Union have settled the vacation pay grievance about banked overtime taken, and audit will be done by the last contract and monies owed paid to members.

And with our new website come new emails:
