The labour movement has long fought hard for the right of women and men to vote – regardless of their income or wealth. And billions of people around the world still do not have the right to vote in free and fair elections. That’s why the Public and Private Workers of Canada (PPWC) urges their members and families to get out and vote in the 2025 federal election on Monday, April 28.

This is our chance to stand up for workers’ rights, social justice, fairness, and an economy where all working people throughout Canada prosper. After all, the PPWC itself is based on participatory, membership-driven democracy, and what better way to celebrate and extend this right by voting in our federal election. What we have ourselves in the PPWC we want for all in Canada.

You should have received or will soon receive a Voter Information Card in the mail, and it’s always best to bring one piece of photo identification to your voting station. Additional information can be found on the Elections Canada website at elections.ca.

On Monday, April 28, exercise your democratic right and vote in the 2025 federal election.
